Tuan Troung

Tuan Troung is the best pho-hobbiest I know. I’d lobby his  photography hobby is probably a biography like his choreography. And what I mean by that is:

Tuan is a breakdancer. He spends a lot of time learning awesome moves and twisting his body in cool ways. He’s also a pretty ligit photographer. I don’t know if its something he wants to pursue more but he could if he wanted to. Last summer my family got portraits done at the Coast and we had Tuan take them.

Tuan went to my highschool but I didn’t even know him until well after I graduated. In fact I’m not even sure I met him until April of my freshman year of college when I came back to CHS to MC the Mr. Spartan Pageant. Tuan is always down to do a photo shoot and learns things uncannily fast. He was using Lightroom before I was and gave me a bunch of tips and tricks to use once I started relying heavily on it to edit my photos. Tuan will also routinely come up with easier ways to do things on photos shoots. One time we were light-writing and I was trying to guess how long of an exposure a certain shot would take. Tuan suggested throwing the camera into bulb mode and just allowing the person on camera to decide when they wanted the shot to end.

I also admire Tuan’s willingness to be adventuresome. He’s not afraid to throw his camera in a bag and take underwater photos, or climb up on something high to get a better angle. That goes a long way in photography, and really anything in life.

Right now Tuan attends Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.
